Our Fleet
One last journey, through the places they knew
When a cortege moves slowly through a village, people still stop. It is the oldest mark of respect there is, and it is the part of the day families tell us they remember most clearly, so it is worth getting right.
The Rolls-Royce hearses
The heart of the cortege, and the vehicle that leads most of the funerals we conduct. Quiet, unhurried, immaculate, because it should be.
We keep two, so a family is not asked to move a date because a car is elsewhere.
The Rolls-Royce Phantoms
The finest cars we own, and the ones people remember. There is a reason the Phantom has carried heads of state and film stars for the best part of a century: nothing else moves quite like it, and nothing else looks quite like it coming slowly up a street.
They are not for show. They are for the family: the most comfortable and dignified way we know to take you to a funeral.
The limousines
Three further Rolls-Royce limousines, which together with the Phantoms will carry up to twenty-nine family members, so nobody has to follow on behind in their own car.
It matters more than people expect. Nobody is driving, nobody is navigating, nobody is hunting for a parking space. You are simply together, and you arrive together.
Take as many as you need, or none at all. Some families would rather make their own way, and that is entirely fine.
The Land Rover hearse
For the farmer, the gamekeeper, anyone who spent their life in a Land Rover.
It is a working vehicle, and that is the whole point of it. It is also, quite often, the thing that makes a family smile on a day when they did not expect to.
Or something else entirely
Most people do not know they are allowed to ask for this. The vehicle should suit the person, not the other way round.
If they spent forty years on a tractor, they can go on a tractor. We have done it, and the village turned out for it. Whatever you have in mind, ask us. Some things we own, some we source, and very occasionally we have to tell you honestly that it will not work. But the answer is yes far more often than families expect, and nobody has ever offended us by asking.
On the day itself
We will talk through the route with you beforehand. Many families like the cortege to pass the house one last time, or the church they married in, or the works gate, or the pub. It costs nothing, it takes ten minutes, and it is very often the thing people are most glad they asked for.
We will drive at walking pace through the village if you would like us to. Tell us what matters, and we will build the journey around it.
Tell us how they should travel
Whether that is a Phantom, the Land Rover, or something nobody has asked us for before, tell us what you have in mind and we will see what can be done.
