A lasting memorial, from our own workshop
Hoult’s Memorials has worked alongside the funeral business since 2005. We have our own workshop and our own memorial masons here in North Wingfield, and every memorial is worked on here, for one family at a time.

A memorial is the last thing you will ever give them, and it will stand for a very long time. It is worth choosing slowly, and worth seeing in person.
Our memorial masons work here, in our own workshop, and they work each stone specifically for the family who asked for it. If you want to see how a piece is coming along, you can. If you change your mind partway through, we can talk about it, because the person doing the work is just down the yard.
We provide memorials for cemeteries and for churchyards, along with plaques for cremated remains, flower vases, and a good deal else besides. If you have something particular in mind, ask, because the answer is usually yes.
What we offer
Every memorial is different, because every person was. Come to the showroom and see the stone itself, feel the weight of it, look at the lettering. It is a far better way to choose than scrolling through pictures.
New headstones
Full memorials for a cemetery or a churchyard. We will guide you through the shape, the stone, the lettering and the wording, and we will handle the permissions with the cemetery or the parish on your behalf.
Cremated remains plaques
Smaller memorials for a garden of remembrance or a cremation plot, where a full headstone is not permitted or not wanted. Simple, dignified, and lettered to the same standard as everything else we do.
Vases, kerbs and additions
Flower vases, kerb sets, chippings, photograph plaques and other additions, whether as part of a new memorial or added to one that is already in place.
Adding a name to a stone already there
When a husband or a wife follows years later, their name goes on beside the one already cut. It is a quiet, significant job, and it is one of the things we are asked to do most.
We will lift the memorial, bring it back to our workshop, cut the new inscription to match the original lettering as closely as we can, clean and restore the stone while it is with us, and set it back. If the existing lettering has weathered, we can re-cut or re-paint it at the same time, so that the two names sit together as they should.
Looking at designs
These are the collections we work from, and they will give you a feel for the shapes, the stones and the finishes available. Nothing in them is fixed, though. If you see something you like but would want it altered, or you have an idea of your own entirely, bring it to us and we will make it.

There is no rush
A new grave usually needs to settle before a memorial can be set, often for six months or more. Cemeteries and churchyards set their own rules on this, and we will tell you what applies to yours. Take the time to get the wording right.
The permissions
Cemeteries and churchyards have their own regulations on size, stone, shape and even lettering. We know the local ones, we will tell you what is allowed where you are, and we will apply for the permit on your behalf.
The wording is yours
It is the part families agonise over most, and the part we are asked to help with more than any other. Say what you want to say. We will lay it out and show you exactly how it will look, before a single letter is cut.
